The dingy davits twisted toward the sea in a one to two foot chop in Miami harbor. They were holding the dinghy and motor Voyage supplied with the boat. The upper bend was too sharp and did not have any extra support posts. Even the metal near the mount buckled (images below). Ian S drove to the boat in Key West Florida to view the problem. Months later Ian S sent a new design for davits but not the davits. Once again I paid to build and install them. A year later at the Miami boat show 2006, Ian S agreed to pay for the davits if I took the description of my problem off the Voyage Owners Website. I did, but the money has not arrived yet.
